Norfolk -- In preparation for the upcoming implementation of the Navis N4 Terminal Operating System, The Port of Virginia is providing training for the N4 Container Tracking Portal.
After the N4 'go-live' date, the current container tracking features on the www.vit.org website will no longer be available for container movements at Norfolk International Terminal (NIT). From the 'go-live' date forward, the use of the N4 Container Tracking Portal will be required to search for container information at NIT.
Beginning this week (June 16), a series of webinars is being offered to provide an overview and instruction on the use of the N4 Container Tracking Portal. We encourage all parties that use the container tracking feature on the www.vit.org website to sign up for one of the webinars.
Container information at APM Terminals Virginia, Virginia Inland Port and the empty container yards will continue to be provided through the existing links on the Virginia International Terminals (VIT) website.
Please note that only NIT container history prior to the 'go live' date will be available using the existing tracking tools.
