Norfolk – Forecasted snow accumulation in the City of Richmond and the Town of Front Royal will have an impact on cargo operations at the Port of Richmond and Virginia Inland Port (VIP) and as a result both facilities have altered their hours of operation.
The Port of Richmond will close today (Feb. 12) at 4 p.m., and remain closed all day Feb. 13. Crews will be on site Feb. 13, for snow clearing only. At present, the port plans to re-open Feb. 14 at 8 a.m., and will work the 64 Express barge per its normal schedule.
